Researcher

Description:

- Opportunities to pitch and research ideas both independently and collaboratively, or be delegated topics to write about.
- Researching for and writing infographics and blogs which align with the The British Asian Collective mission.Content can range from factual research to creative writing.
- Working collaboratively with editors to review and update content in response to constructive feedback.
- Opportunities to work independently or collaborate with other researchers on urgent posts, e.g. news.
- Liaise with the design team on the final outcome of infographic and blog designs.

Editor

Description:

- Editing infographics and blog submissions to ensure research is of a high quality and integrity, aligning with our mission.
- Fact-checking and critically analysing sources used.
- Providing constructive and detailed suggestions and feedback to researchers, in order to maintain a clear, sophisticated writing style, and strongly structured research.
- May sometimes be required to edit urgent posts under pressure.
- Opportunities to submit own research pieces for infographics and our blog.
- Opportunities to work collaboratively with other editors.

Graphic Designer

Description:

- Designing infographics, marketing and story posts which align with The British Asian Collective branding.
- On average required to design one infographic per month, alongside extra tasks like marketing and story posts.
- Improving and editing designs based on feedback from design editors.
- May sometimes be required to make urgent posts under limited time.
- Opportunity to design own art/animations for our page which align with our mission.

Website Design Lead

Description:

- Management of the BAC site, through regular updates such as publishing blog posts and marketing.
- Leading a team of website designers, through hosting meetings, delegating and reviewing work, and mentorship in web design.
- Collaborating across different teams such as content strategy, graphic design, events, HR, etc, to update and to develop the site.
- Owning the long-term web content and UI/UX strategy and vision.
- Conducting regular site functionality reviews, and consistently delivering UI/UX improvements to optimise mobile/web experience.
- Ensuring content and designs are consistent with The British Asian Collective branding and mission.
- Potential to conduct performance analysis of our website, providing suggestions to increase visits and views.

Description:

- Helping build, design and suggest improvements to our existing website.
- Collaborating across different teams such as content strategy, graphic design, events, HR, finance, legal, etc, to consistently update and to develop the site.
- Designing and publishing blog posts.
